First concept of Cornelius

My enthusiasm was seriously shaken in the first few weeks when I tried to delve into the mysteries of Unity objects. After some time I watched countless tutorials on youtube and checked many tutorials on Domestica and Udemy. Best start for me was definitely on Domestica “Introduction to Unity for 2D video games”1, so big thanks to authors. Later, when I needed some more advanced game systems, I discovered AlexDev course on Udemy2 which introduced me to StateMachines, but about this later.

I spent the first few weeks drawing and trying to figure out how the main character should look. I had completely worked out the lore, story, and world history, but still had no clue what the character should look like. I had no idea that I would spend countless sleepless nights figuring out how to implement a proper equipment system that reflects what the character is actually wearing in-game. How naive I was (and still am)
